Store Your Zoom Recordings on OneDrive or YouTube
Each faculty member and employee has access to 1 TB of storage through OneDrive. This provides a great solution for storing Zoom recordings for future use. We recommend that you download your Zoom recordings and upload them to your OneDrive storage space. Please follow the steps below to migrate your recordings. Alternatively, you can upload your Zoom recordings to YouTube or another video streaming platform, if you prefer.
Watch this video for a tutorial on how to store videos on OneDrive or YouTube, or simply follow the directions below: Storing Videos on OneDrive or YouTube Tutorial Recording.
OneDrive
-
Log into your Zoom Dashboard (https://concorduniv.zoom.us)
-
Click Recordings and Transcripts on the left side menu
-
On the right of each recording you’d like to save permanently, click the “More” button (three dots) to the right and select, “Download.”
-
Repeat step 3 for each of the recordings you are ready to move. By default, recordings will go to the Downloads folder on your PC.
-
Log into OneDrive. Use Concord email and credentials to log in.
-
If you do not already have a location created in OneDrive to store your recordings, create a folder using the plus icon on the lefthand top of the menu.
-
Navigate to your Downloads folder or the folder that contains your downloaded recordings.
-
Drag and drop recordings individually or as a bundle into your OneDrive folder. (You only need to upload the MP4 files. You can select multiple files at once by holding the ctrl key on your keyboard.)
-
OneDrive will begin uploading your files. A status bar will appear at the bottom of the page.
-
Be sure to delete the recordings off Zoom that you downloaded and migrated. (Zoom holds deletions in “trash” for 30 days to be recovered if you make a mistake)
YouTube
In addition, you may choose to save your recordings to YouTube. We recommend saving them to OneDrive, but some instructors find YouTube a better fit for their needs.
You’ll need to create a Google account if you choose to save videos to YouTube. There are many tutorials online for using YouTube Creator Studio. Here is a brief description to get you started:
-
Once you have chosen the option from your Google account to access YouTube, choose the “Create” option that looks like a video camera on the top righthand side of the YouTube screen.
-
Follow the steps to select you file from your Download folder and upload it into YouTube.
-
After the video has processed, share it using the link provided.
