Issue in: Blackboard Learn (Original Course View)

"I received an error when attempting to submit my assignment"

      Error: You cannot attach the following file. It may contain a security threat:.html. Please fix the file and re-attach it OR attach a .zip of the file

     This is normally occurs when a file is saved as a Web page and the .html file is submitted to the assignment.

Solution:

Zip the file and resubmit as a .zip file

1. Right click on the file from the saved location (i.e. Documents, Downloads, etc.)
2. Select 'Send to' > Compressed (zipped) folder
3. Submit the new .zip fileConvert the html file to a Word document, PDF, or another supported file type and resubmit.
4. Right click on the file from the saved location.
5. Open with Word
6. File > Save As
7. Change the file type to Word Document (*.docx)
8. Resubmit the newly saved file
